My very first OOTD in South Korea - SEOUL

Hello Fashionlovers,

As some of you may already know, I have finally arrived in South Korea. JEUJ FOR ME!!! I have always dreamed of to visit SEOUL and experience the beauty wit my own eyes. I'm doing my exchange at the Hanyang University in Wangsimni and I have the time of my life so far.

At first, I was really in shock yet happy because there is such a huge gap in terms of cultural difference between The Netherlands and South Korea, but nowadays I'm already getting used to it:)) Talking about cultural difference, typical Korean food can be very  spicy and perhaps a bit too much, although, I really enjoy the food to the fullest and I especially like rice cake (one of my favourites) ! YOU GUYS SHOULD TRY IT OUT!
Secondly, Korean people are so STYLISH, like I am literally in HEAVEN. The shops here are so good (there will be an article up a.s.a.p.) and they are ridiculously affordable. However, I haven't really had the chance to buy many pieces, but trust me: this will be changed soon. haha

As far as I could tell is that South Korea is DEFINITELY one of the many countries you should absolutely see with your own eyes. Trust me, you won't regret it, worth any penny.

Until next time, have a great day, have a great week!

Details

Hi fashionlovers,
Today I would like to talk about the importance of accessorizing or adding a pop of colour to a simple outfit. Sometimes, I have the feeling that I just want to be comfortable, but at the same time I'd like to be very stylish as well. Have you ever felt the same feeling?
Nothing makes me happier than a good pair of shoes. I believe in having a very good shoe wardrobe. Having a classic shoe wardrobe is just as important as having a great closet filled with clothes and accessories. Ever since I can remember my brother has always told me to never buy cheap shoes as long as you going to wear it for one time. And this was a lesson I've always kept in mind, because you're much better of splurging on one very expensive pair than buying many cheap pairs that will only last you a few wears. Furthermore, do not to try buy a lot of black shoes, but try to buy colourful shoes, such as CORAL or YELLOW (just do it).

Whether real, fake, or my new favourite, 'luxury pre-owned', handbags are an expression of who we are and where we belong in social, economic and fashion terms. As our most visible fashion accessory, our handbag is both functional and symbolic, conveying to others the tribe to which we belong. A form of self-expression and signal of personal style, handbags are also an entrĂ©e to luxury and glamour.
Anyone who knows fashion in the slightest bit knows that accessories are a vital part of any outfit. Many would even argue that it is the accessories which make or break the outfit. The jewellery pieces that you select to go with an outfit can either compliment it or take away from it drastically. Therefore, it is highly important to choose each piece very carefully, so that you can make the best impression.
A pair of good sunglasses with an UV protection is an essential in any wardrobe, any day of the year, or you can do damage to those pretty eyes. They'll also keep you from squinting, which causes wrinkles and is never a good look. But a pair of sunnies at-the-ready can do so much more. Big sunglasses camouflage a late night. They're great when you need to hide for any reason, if you're tired, or if you're not in the mood to be social. They make a heck of better statement than a grumpy face or bloodshot and tend to work on most facial shapes.
Until next time, have a great day, have a great week!

TARTAN MEETS LEATHER

"The most important thing to remember is that you can wear all the greatest clothes and all the greatest shoes, but you’ve got to have a good spirit on the inside. That’s what’s really going to make you look like you’re ready to rock the world."
Alicia Keys

I'm obsessed with this lovely leather wallet and iphone case from Chivotedesign. It is very useful, because it is multifunctional and basically this all what I need when I'm heading off to either the mall or the grocery store.

''HOW TO PUT AN OUTFIT TOGETHER''

Hi lovely readers,

On the 12th of February 2014, I had an appointment with my friend, but I had NO clue what to wear on that day. As a matter of fact, I'm probably not the only one who may face this kind of problems. But no worries, it is actually quite simple and you can even put an outfit together less than in 5 minutes.

1. Organize your closet.
A lot of times when we don't know what to wear or, better yet, how to put together an outfit it means that it is time to ORGANIZE our closet. Yes, organizing means it will be so much easier to locate the clothes you want for the outfits you'll be putting together and it will eventually remind you what you own in way of clothing.
tips: Get rid of anything you almost never wear, because there is no point in keeping around something you wear only once or twice and try to organize your clothes by item, so all the t-shirts together, all the jeans together and so on.
2. Essential wardrobe TOPS
Everyone needs a few basic tops that are the foundation of your wardrobe. These tops should be versatile and trend-proof, It's best for your basic wardrobe components to be in neutral colors like black, navy blue, or white so that you can mix and match them easily
tips: casual tops ( tops like short and Long sleeve t-shirts or tank tops), blouses, and simple yet sophisticated pullovers.

3. Essential wardrobe BOTTOMS
These are mostly the jeans as well as the trousers that make up the basis of you will wear with the tops. Again, you'll want to go for neutral colours and styles that won't change with every fashion.

4. Gather accessories
Generally speaking, accessories can add an individual element to your wardrobe without overwhelming you. Belts, jewelry, handbags, scarves, and hats are great in neutral colours as well as funkier, brighter styles. A bright scarf with a black t-shirt and fitted jeans can be a fun yet easy outfit.
tips: jewelry is very much according to individual preference. You'll need to figure out what you like and work with that. Because someone might prefer chunkier, geometric jewelry more than pearls, but overall; they will be the highlight of your outfit you pull off.
5. Versatile shoes
Shoes are really important to make a fun and comfortable outfit. You will need a few different styles of basic footwear in your closet to draw from when creating outfits. Different shoes go better with different items of clothing. Something to remember, light coloured shoes (e.g. white ones) can get dirty really fast, so make sure you consider that when picking your shoe colour.
- Boots: these are especially in colder places, which are very important. You can get some casual black or grey boots, or some fancy heeled ones that you can couple with jeans or a dress. For instance, ankle boots are really good with skinny boots and ( for women) with skirts.
- Casual sneakers: You can wear these out for a long walk. They are comfortable and you can basically do housework or yard work in them.

6. Mix and Match
Mixing and matching clothing is your basis for choosing different outfits each day. This way you don't have to wear the same t-shirt and jeans routine that always do (although that's perfectly okay if that's what you like:))

Until next time, have a great day, have a great week!
